Integrated Report 2022
AkzoNobel’s annual financial report has been combined with the sustainability report into one Report 2022. The Report 2022 includes elements of the reporting guidelines issued by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). The sustainability sections, however, in no way form part of the company’s annual report as the company is required to publish pursuant to Dutch law.

In this Report 2022, reference is made to brands and trademarks owned by, or licensed to, AkzoNobel. Unauthorized use of these is strictly prohibited.
Case study video
This Report 2022 includes case studies that highlight some of our activities during the year. The video is not covered by any procedures performed by the independent auditor and is not considered part of the management report.
Alternative performance measures (APM)
AkzoNobel uses APM adjustments to the IFRS measures to provide supplementary information on the reporting of the underlying developments of the business. APM include, but are not limited to, adjusted operating income, (adjusted) EBITDA, adjusted earnings per share, ROS and ROI. A reconciliation of the alternative performance measures to the most directly comparable IFRS measures can be found in the Glossary and Note 4 of the Consolidated financial statements.
